When a page recommends a product or service, the link goes through a toothache.com address that starts with /go/. If you buy after clicking, the company may pay us a share of the sale. These links are marked as paid links for search engines.

What it never changes

• Free fixes come first. If salt water and a cold pack will do, we say so before any product.
• Each page recommends at most one pick and links to no more than three products or services.
• We don't recommend anything a dentist wouldn't tell a patient to buy, however well it pays.
• Pages about emergencies carry no paid links.
• We don't sell or share your information, and we don't collect your health details.

What we won't promote

Dental "miracle" supplements, snap-on veneers, do-it-yourself aligners without an in-person exam, and anything that promises to cure a dental problem without a dentist.
